Monitored Web Access
Being able to web browse from your
desk is a benefit, there are many useful resources for every kind of
organization, however web browsing in the workplace can often cause a reduction
in productivity caused by wasted time and resources. InterLinx records
the web browsing activity of every user for every site that they visit. You can
also specify whether a user is able to web surf at all and if they are, what
content they can see.
InterLinx, as well as
monitoring web usage, also uses 1Gb of disk space to store a copy of the web
pages visited by the users so that, if another user visits any of those pages,
the bulk of the web page is already in the cache and is given to the user at LAN
speeds. This web caching delivers a substantial performance increase over a
non-cached connection. It means that more people can browse over a smaller link
and browsing is generally quicker.
All the web pages visited by your
users are recorded into a powerful database on InterLinx. This means that
sophisticated activity reports can be generated.
InterLinx records the web
browsing activity on a daily basis: -

For every user: -

And every site: -

And every time: -

From this you can see who has been
going where, how much, how often and from which computers. You can also block
web sites and suspend individual users.
